A striking, large coin in good condition.
Slight filing on the edge at the top, but the coin shows no signs of wear; it is attractive and has a dark patina.
The last type of King Augustus’s thalers—distinguished by two oval coats of arms, between which are the initials of Jan Jerzy Schomburg and the mint mark, a hook.
A rarer year of issue.
Minted in Dresden.
Silver, diameter 45.5 mm, weight 29.12 g.
