A 5 zlotych tax stamp from the Kościuszko Uprising , 1794, series N. C. 2, with a 5-digit serial number: 39717
A unique variant, with only two pieces known to exist to date. Its uniqueness is evidenced by the two signatures of commissioners currently appearing on it: J. Fechner and K. Reykowski—individuals who were delegated by the Treasury Ticket Directorate to sign treasury tickets with a face value of 5 zlotych 1794, but from Series 1. For Series 2, the commissioners responsible for this were M. Skaławski and T. Żarski.
A variant with misspellings and missing diacritical marks in the words:“kazdemu”;“fuduszow”;“Biletow”;“ogolnych”;“powyzszey”;“Uchwaly”;“przyImowac.”
A natural banknote, without watermark elements in the paper, showing clear signs of circulation, with transparency along the fold lines and paper losses on the margins of the banknote. Despite these flaws, the banknote’s appearance is acceptable, and its extreme rarity compensates for its poor condition.
