The collection of Japanese arrows includes 10 combat, hunting and ceremonial arrowheads. The largest is about 24 cm, the shortest about 7 cm. The arrowheads are from the Edo period, that is, the late 18th and early 19th centuries. In this particular set, we can admire a very magnificent karimata-type spearhead with openwork decoration in the form of the Hōjō clan monu (three triangles inscribed in a triangle), as well as two beautiful yanagiba-type spearheads with the typical beautiful openwork decoration in the form of flowers and cherry petals. Other spearheads imitate the yari spear in their form: two short, compact spearheads used to pierce armor and two watakusi spearheads. Most of the spearheads are mirror polished, while some remained in raw form and were not polished after forging.
The set has a certificate of authenticity issued by Polish appraiser Krzysztof Polak.
