A technological copy of a belt located in the Tokugawa Art Museum, which is one of the three oldest private museums in Japan. The belt is richly decorated. Embroidered on it are chūkei fans traditionally used in nō theater items, an extensive collection of which is held by the aforementioned museum. Each of the fans depicted on the belt is different. They have been embroidered with gold and platinum thread, which is confirmed by the technical quality analysis attached to the item, made on the basis of samples taken in a mass spectrometer.
Accompanying the belt is a certificate issued by the Tokugawa Art Museum, attesting to the authenticity of the techniques used to make the object and explaining the history of the theme and how it connects to the collection of accessories used in nō theater performances held in the museum's collection.
Also included is an original brochure from the Tokugawa Art Museum with photos from a fan exhibition that featured the belt. It is worth mentioning here that the original was not on display, and only a few similar copies were made - due to the material cost and the skill and time required to make them.
The belt is signed.
