In the painting we see the Virgin giving silks of flowers to the saints around her, thus alluding to the rosary as a means of prayer to obtain Marian intercession.
In the lower left corner - under the figure of St. Nicholas of Bari - a sort of inverted letter (N), now evanescent, seems to allude to a possible signature, while - on the opposite side - we can clearly read a noble coat of arms in monochrome, confirming the work's provenance - of good quality - from a high-ranking context.
The Fermo origin of the work could lead to framing the artist in a stylistic sphere close to Filippo Ricci.
