Jaroslaw Bikiewicz (born 1981) - sculptor, industrial design designer. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and Warsaw in the studios of Jaroslaw Kozakiewicz, Grzegorz Kowalski and Tomasz Rygalik. His works are the result of activities on the borderline of sculpture and design. He designs aesthetically pleasing objects while retaining their basic utilitarian functions (see "Artin" sculpture series), which act as artistic "enclosures" for products of modern technology, e.g. hiding electronic components. Most often, he reaches for biomorphic forms, perceiving bioenergetic properties in their organic shape. He is the author of the concept of "botism," which assumes artistic actions aimed at mitigating the effects of technological exclusions and introducing systemic solutions of a humanitarian nature. He has won many awards, including ICONIC Awards, Munich, German Design Award, Frankfurt, Japan Concept Competition - Junko Koshino Award.
