_______________________
Gaya Lastovjak - creates three-dimensional paintings through a technique of her own using paper-mache, canvas and oil paint. The author touches on the human theme in each of her works, she is absorbed by the other person and related issues, and observing the numerous environments has become an initiation to various avenues of introspection.
Her latest paintings began to be created during a period of strict isolation. The confinement caused the artist to pay attention to the currently relevant aspects of life, which are mutual trust, help and understanding. This has resulted in works such as "Bath" and "Trapped," which interpret global events in a simple way. The introduction of new materials such as rope and metal mesh is intended to reinforce the message and add variety to the earlier form of the paintings, while the ever-present human aspect reminds us of how important humans are. The author has participated in many group and individual exhibitions, and her works are popular both in Poland and abroad.
Recently, she has been recognized among Saatchi gallery collectors.
