Hand-painted porcelain and gilt bronze (ormolu
An elegant desktop match striker and holder, featuring a fine porcelain tray decorated with hand-painted floral bouquets. The porcelain is set within an ornate gilt bronze (ormolu) mount, characterized by scrolled feet and Neo-Rococo decorative elements. The central bronze vessel serves as the match holder, while the textured surface of the porcelain or the bronze rim was used as a striker. The combination of delicate floral painting and the rich luster of the gilded bronze makes this a sophisticated example of late 19th-century decorative arts. Hand-painted porcelain and gilt bronze (ormolu ) H 9 cm
