Biography
Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, graduating in 2021 in Prof. Jaroslaw Bauc's painting studio. She works mainly in the medium of painting and spatial objects, exploring the tool of spray since 2019, exploring the possibilities of its matter in combination with color. All the ideas behind the gesture and the meaning of the tool itself, which the artist believes is very intuitive, she tries to realize through the form of photography and its pictoriality, both digital and analog. She bases her portrayed motifs on a delicate tension between abstraction and figuration, working with composition and its meaning in perception. Many of the works or entire sets allude to the activities being performed. The subtle jarring of the paintings speak primarily of movement. Recent works and shows include a solo exhibition Jump over the fence at the Zasypianie Artists' Colony, participation in the Windows 2020 project, an installation in a tira on the Motława River for the Łaźnia CCA, a finalist exhibition New Image/New Look at the UAP Old Paper Mill in Poznań, a solo presentation at the Artists' Colony in the Lower Town, and an exhibition at the BWA in Olsztyn. Winner of the Grand Prix of the Wojciech Fangor painting competition in Gdansk. She lives and works in Gdansk in a studio located in the NOT building.
