A rare half-grosz from King Alexander’s late issue.
It stands out not only for its “E” letters without a horizontal bar (resembling an inverted “D”), but also for the distinct typefaces of the “O” and “I” letters in the legends.
This specimen is also exceptionally attractive for its type.
Very well struck, with a lustrous background, and only a slight metal flaw near the eagle’s tail. It has a light patina that adds to its charm.
