Robert Lardus is a vegetarian, Buddhist and abstractionist. All three combined are rare, and where he comes from, a small Mazovian village, influences his work. He studied painting and then went on a long journey through Asia. Lardus is fascinated by process painting. He has invented dozens of original painting techniques.
"Dysmorphophobia" is a subversive series, a series with a message. The author paints alla prima, there is no way to fix blemishes and mistakes. No painting is perfect. Not even one that is commonly considered a beautiful painting. Painting dysmorphia, we can find in each of the paintings. If we want to! However, it is not the real ones, but the imaginary, phobia-inducing flaws that are the worst. They torment, destroy, and are the cause of misery. "Dysmorphophobia" shows the uncertainty of the author. First of all, every image requires the acceptance of the author, just as every image of a person requires the acceptance of its bearer.
