Actually Helena Berlewi, painter. She painted her first painting, which delighted her son the famous avant-gardist Henryk Berlewi, at the age of 79. By 1970 she had 30 exhibitions around the world.
The POLIN Museum's 2024 "Bio-Facture. An exhibition of Hel Enri's paintings, which showcased the work of this remarkable artist from the Art & Modern Foundation's collection. The work "Autumn Plant Abstraction" was presented at the exhibition. The work is typical of the artist's composition inspired by the world of plants and animals. It is her memory, imagination, rather than a representation of a specific event or object viewed. It is the essence of emotion, light, visual impressions and the moment, which are depicted with soft, delicate lines and single points reminiscent of Chinese scroll painting.
