Set designer and painter. In 1924 he graduated from the Warsz. Drawing School. In 1924-28 he studied at the Warsz. School of Fine Arts, he was a student of T. Pruszkowski. He practiced painting, graphics, stained glass. Already as a student, he became involved in the Polish Theater, where he worked until 1937 as a painter-decorator. In 1937-39 he was involved in the conservation of church interiors. In 1939 he took part in the September campaign, as an officer he was in a prisoner of war camp, from where he escaped to Warsaw in 1942. After the Warsaw Uprising he stayed in Kielce; there he designed theater decorations. In 1949 he returned to Warsaw and until his retirement, which he took on July 31, 1971, he was head of the stage design studio at the Teatr. Polski.
