Denmark Medal 1976 Fairy Tale Thumbelina. Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Denmark's world famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). A classical; facing portrait of Andersen appears on the obverse of the medal. Its reverse design depicts a scene from his fairy tale Fairy Tale Thumbelina.
