A very detailed map published during the reign of Władysław IV Vasa, at a time of peace in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Two years later, Khmelnytsky’s Cossack uprising began. The map was created by a famous artist known for his views of many Polish cities. It covers three-quarters of present-day Poland, including over 200 cities, extending eastward to Goniądz and covering the Vistula River region from Gdańsk to Lesser Poland, including Nowy Sącz. A strong, high-contrast print.
Condition: old water damage, not visible on the front.
