This intriguing composition on paper was created just a year after Marek Chlanda's participation in the 13th Biennale of the Young in Paris and the 12th Biennale of Sydney. In the early 1980s he was also involved in the "Drawing Place" project, the idea of which was to fill architectural space (including ceilings and floors) with drawings. An outstanding artist, graphic designer, pedagogue (he taught at his alma mater, the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, the University of Silesia, a branch in Cieszyn), he also boldly experimented within the realm of performance art or sculpture. In an original way he combined drawing series with music (e.g. performance "Concert" from 1980). Marek Chlanda's achievements have been permanently inscribed in the latest Polish art.
