Biography
A graduate of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Painting (bachelor’s degree in 1970) in the studio of Prof. Marian Jaeschke. The artist’s works have been presented at numerous group and solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Austria, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. He worked in oil painting, watercolor, and drawing. Jerzy Mróz’s paintings are held in museum and private collections in Poland and other countries[1]. Starting in 2000, he ran his own Jerzy Mróz Gallery in the Mroz family villa in Łagiewniki at 14 Barokowa Street in Łódź, where he organized many meetings with cultural figures. In 2014, the painters’ villa was sold.
