Szymon Poprzęcki (c. 1864–1942)—Polish painter, draftsman, and collector. He was a student at the Kraków School of Fine Arts and later a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. He practiced painting and the restoration of works of art; he also designed furniture and wood mosaics, and took a keen interest in folk art. For the Iconographic Archive’s collection, he created approximately 720 watercolor drawings of architecture (primarily wooden structures), as well as shrines, crosses, sculptures, furniture, ceramics, and textiles.
