Biography
Christopher Wool's work explores the complexities of abstraction and representation, engaging with culturally rich references to techniques, processes, images and language. This catalog accompanies his first major solo exhibition in the United States, covering some fifty significant works from 1986 to the present. The exhibition debuted at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and then traveled to the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The fully illustrated catalog provides a comprehensive visual and critical examination of Wool's artistic practice. The album is a very well-preserved 295-page hardcover publication.
