10 zlotych banknote from 1939, part of the so-called “emigration issue” (printed by TDLR in London), Series A, serial number: 000000
The so-called “AKCEPT” with a serial number of zero. The banknote is fully printed on dedicated paper with the correct watermark, but in a different color (green) than the one ultimately approved (red). On both sides of the banknote are handwritten annotations by Karol Chybiński, then technical director of PWPW, dated July 14, 1942, and bearing his signatures. These are comments regarding the banknote’s color scheme.
A truly unique piece, rarity R10, known to exist in only this single piece.
An exceptionally beautiful piece, confirmed by a very high PMG grading score for this type, with an EPQ notation attesting to the exceptional quality of the paper—this is the MAX SCORE for this banknote in the PMG registry; only this auction piece has received such a score.
