( a) stepped circular base with baluster stem and plain cup. Hallmarked on the edge of the foot and under the rim with the mark of the "bulla" of Palermo depicted by a "high flying eagle", partially readable, in use from 1715 to 1825 and with the mark of an unidentified silversmith "A.B".
