Lupicaia has long confirmed its position among the most important producers of Supertoscans. With a history dating back to Etruscan times and an important moment in its development when Prince Poniatowski was the owner, Lupicaia is today an exciting source of top-quality wine.
The estate enjoys an excellent terroir, where the mix of suitable soils, climate and proximity to the Mediterranean creates fantastic conditions for viticulture.
2012 was a very hot vintage with rainfall just at much needed moments. The grapes on which Lupicaia is based were very concentrated, but juicy and with good acidity. This is also what the wine is like - full-bodied, quenched, but without a shadow of exaggeration. Elegant and perfectly reflecting with itself the character and style of the producer.
