[MATER Dolorosa]. Jacquard artistic fabric with an image of the Virgin Mary of Sorrows.
Portrait of the Virgin Mary in bust on fabric made in the 1920s (?) of the 20th century, probably by the "Tkanart" company. Composition in shades of gray. Format 21x13 cm, original protective paper shirt, no protective tissue paper. Embroidered inscription in the lower margin: "Mater Dolorosa". On the face of the protective T-shirt prints: "Artpol", "Artistic silk fabric". Sequential number is placed on the front cover with a stamp: "3". Portraits of this type were created in the interwar years in Lodz (at the Industrial School), in Zyrardow and in Andrychow (at Joachim Grünspan's weaving mill). Covers slightly creased, otherwise very good condition.
