Single shot flintlock pistol made in France in the late 18th century. A flint-type lock with engraved decorative motifs of a plant character, typical of French manufacturers of this period. Dark wood stock richly decorated with intricate carvings and engravings, especially in the grip area and lower part of the barrel. The handle is finished with a metal tip decorated with relief motifs. The barrel is short, round cross-section with a smooth bore, decorated with engraved motifs and a simple front sight. The trigger mechanism is simple, with a decorative trigger decorated with engravings. A wooden charging rod with a metal end is fixed under the barrel.
