A very rare, early type of the Cracow half-grosz of Casimir IV Jagiellon with the initials MK under the crown.
Issued in 1468-1479, definitely heavier and larger than the later minted semiproszas with the coat of arms of Poraj - Piotr Kurozwęcki.
Like the type with the letters TM, it was successively taken out of circulation and melted down for inferior money, which contributed to its rarity today.
Variant with POLONE on the obverse and the letter Z mirrored in the word KAZIMIRI on the reverse.
A beautiful piece, with lots of mint luster.
In this state of preservation - a great rarity.
For the best collections.
obverse: crown over letters MK, in the rim +*REGIS*POLONE*
reverse: crowned eagle, in the rim +MONETAxKAZIMIRI (letter Z in mirror image)
