A very pleasant piece of an issue momentous in our history. The 1806 Guilders/Rynesian coins are sought after regardless of their state of preservation. The offered piece, despite visible slight traces of circulation, has very nicely preserved dry stamps and rustling paper.
As Krystian Browarny - a researcher of Galician money - points out:"The guilders of 1806 are, for several reasons, very interesting artifacts both for collectors and researchers dealing with numismatics and notafiction in historical terms. The two most important reasons are as follows. First, this is the last paper money issue in which the issuer, i.e. Francis II, acted as Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Shortly after the June 1806 issue. Francis II became Francis I, and the centuries-old Roman Empire ceased to exist in the month of August. This means that the guilders are the last currency of the Holy Roman Empire. The second reason for Polish collectors contains a huge "emotional" charge. These guilders represent a historical source, in which for the first time - as far as money is concerned - the aisle of "RYAN" was expressed! Earlier issues that took place after the establishment of Galicia and Lodomeria (1784, 1796 and 1800) did not contain this name."
Definitely above average, highly recommended!
