The history of this Cooperative and its founder is mentioned by Elzbieta Pokorzyńska in her work - "'From the history of Warsaw bookbinding of the 19th and 1st half of the 20th century" pp. 171 and 271. Katowice 2009...: "...The Cooperative "Intrografia" was established on November 9, 1950 by a group of craftsmen bookbinders (including Jerzy Filipowicz and Zygmunt Zjawinski), who contributed their machines to it as a contribution. The new board of directors, appointed in 1951 with president Edward Bensch, operating under the new rules of the socialist economy, got rid of the old craftsmen, paying them the equivalent of their machines and equipment. "Intrografia" produced mainly haberdashery and packaging, and also had its own printing plant, taken over from the incorporated printing cooperative "Znak." In the fifties it was incorporated into the Union of Co-operatives of Folk and Artistic Industry "Cepelia", and in a truncated size it functions to this day."
