Biography
Hunger studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź (now the Academy of Fine Arts), where he was awarded the title of full professor in 1990. For many years, he worked at his alma mater, where he served as dean, vice-rector, and, from 1987 to 1993, rector. He was a member of the Łódź-based Konkret Group, which drew inspiration from the work of Władysław Strzemiński. The group’s members advocated for a return to concrete art—that is, art focused on form. Hunger works in painting, drawing, and printmaking.
