Feliks Szynalewski (May 11, 1825, Kraków – March 12, 1892, Kraków) was a painter, as well as a draftsman and printmaker. From 1841 to 1843, he studied at the School of Drawing and Painting (SRiM) at Jagiellonian University in Kraków (continuing his studies there from 1845 to 1850). While earning a living as a lithographer, he moved to Warsaw in 1844, where he began working at Franciszek Szuster’s lithography studio. From 1845 onward, he taught drawing in Kraków while simultaneously producing numerous drawings, lithographs, and oil paintings. From 1852 to 1854, he studied at the Vienna Academy. From 1854, he exhibited religious paintings at the Society of Friends of the Fine Arts (TPSP) in Kraków, and in 1857 he became an assistant at the School of Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture (SRiM); and continued in this role after its transformation into the School of Fine Arts (SSP) in 1873 until 1890; he also continued to create lithographs, including those on numismatic themes from his own collection in this field. His paintings also included portraits (including drawings) and watercolors, including miniatures; see the Polish Biographical Dictionary (PSB), vol. 50, pp. 311–312.
