oil, canvas, 60 x 80 cm, signed p.d.: 'A. Szóstak | 2026'
She comes from Poland, from the small town of Skarżysko-Kamienna. Born in 1985, she inhaled the smell of sending paints and turpentine from the very beginning as both of her parents were passionate about painting. Art has always been present in the artist's life. In her high school graduation year (2002) there was her first author's drawing exhibition "Sin" .
For her studies she went to Krakow, where she spent 10 years.
The next step was an experimental trip to Germany where, after a year, she opened her tattoo studio and atelier which still functions today. For many years her main occupation was tattooing. While practicing this profession, she learned precision, chiaroscuro work and practiced drawing. She drew inspiration, which she can now transfer to canvas.
For a long time she could not find her way in life and searched for herself until she rediscovered oil paints. By her own admission: "Painting is the only way I can follow, it gives me peace of mind, it is the most important love and therapy, no one really knows how many thoughts and feelings are hidden in these paintings."
