Beata Szajna
Graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszow, 1989. Diploma from the University of Rzeszow, Faculty of Art, 2012.
Employed at Krosno Glassworks (now Krosno Glass S.A.) as a specialist designer since 1998. She is involved in glass design, creating author's collections and commissioned projects for clients from all over the world.
Her works have been presented at about 30 group exhibitions and fairs in Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, the United States, England, Israel and the United Arab Emirates. They are also part of the permanent exhibition of the Glass Heritage Center in Krosno; in 2019 she presented her designs there in a solo exhibition.
She has won numerous awards and prizes, including "Golden Ville" for her Molly art glass set, 2014; Customer Laurel, 2011; Good Design for her Vinoteca decanter, 2015. Her Samara vase, designed for the 2005 Frankfurt Fair, was presented at exhibitions in Milan, 2019, and Dubai, 2021, and was one of the most purchased products of Krosno Glassworks in the first decade of the 21st century - more than 25,000 vases were produced and sold.
She is also active in visual arts (including painting and drawing). Birds are a frequent subject of her works. She belongs to the Ornithological Group, with which she travels numerous areas of Poland in search of the rarest and most interesting species of birds.
