ZARZYCKI TADEUSZ
THE FIRST AND LAST DAY
London 1974, publisher "Veritas", pp.[2] 280, format: 12.5x19 cm
"Col. Zarzycki's memoirs - an account of a direct participant in the described events, whose aim is to recreate as faithfully as possible the facts and atmosphere of the fight against the German invaders during the occupation and the Warsaw Uprising - are therefore a document in the whole sense of the word." - Wienczyslaw Wagner "The book ... written by a man gifted with a sensitive eye and feeling, who participated in and deeply experienced the events described, is striking in its truth and sincerity. It is characterized by a simple and unpretentious style. It contains a huge amount of news and facts presented in a very accurate way, as it includes names and dates. This is mainly what its historical value lies in" - Stefan Korbonski
