MILCZEWSKI-BRUNO R. - Poboki. 1971. second volume of poetry by one of the "stuntmen of literature".

MILCZEWSKI-BRUNO Ryszard - Poboki. Olsztyn 1971, Pojezierze. 16d, p. 76. broch.
Very good condition. The second poetic volume in the poet's oeuvre, published in 800 copies. The book was awarded the Tadeusz Peiper Prize in Wroclaw (for 1971 and 1972) and the monthly magazine "Poetry" for the best collection of poems in 1971, although in an internal review Jerzy Kwiatkowski advised against publishing the volume: "Its publication would do a disservice to both the Publishing House and the author. All the more so because he is a talented poet." The critic's concerns turned out to be unfounded. Ryszard Milczewski-Bruno (1940-1979), a poet of district, provincial Poland, wandering around with a backpack, published six volumes of poetry during his lifetime. He is counted among the "stuntmen of literature", "poets cursed", along with Stachura, Wojaczek, Bursa.
