Waclaw Chodkowski (Kozienice 1878 - 1953 Warsaw) - Polish painter, graduated from the Drawing School in Warsaw in 1900, where he studied under Wojciech Gerson, Adam Badowski and Jan Kazimierz Kauzik. He was mainly active in Warsaw, occupying a studio at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, of which he was a real member. There he first exhibited his paintings. In 1914 it was Portrait of a Girl, in 1916 Portrait of a Boy, and in 1935 Fruit. During World War II, both the studio and most of the artist's works were destroyed. In 1945, Chodkowski was admitted to the Association of Polish Artists on the basis of his paintings Field of Wilanów, Vistula after a storm, Girl in a Hornbill. In 1949 he exhibited a painting Work at the metallurgical furnace in Bydgoszcz, in 1951 in Warsaw: The Old Town Rebuilt. His works are now not only in private collections, but also in the District Museum in Bydgoszcz, and in the collection of the art department of the Museum in Tomaszow Mazowiecki.
