Wladyslaw Ignacy Stachowski, painter and traveler, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Most often he painted genre scenes with horse-drawn carriages. He was the son of a Polish exile in the Caucasus. He lived in Warsaw since 1919.
