This is probably the consort of Xu Guangqi. Xu Guangqi (1562-1633) the “Doctor Paul” for Christians –He is the most influential and famous among the converts to Christianity in the first decades of the Jesuit mission in China. In addition to being a disciple and friend of Matteo Ricci, he was a man of culture and of many interests.


Item condition grading: **** good.
The lot is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time.
