The first container is made partly of cork and has a tin interior. The parts fit together perfectly. On the cork part it has an application with a cherry blossom (sakura) motif.
The second container is made entirely of cherry tree bark. It has inlays and an application of wood and mother-of-pearl with a cherry blossom motif. The whole piece is dark brown falling into red with beautifully composing light discolorations resulting from the structure of the bark.
