An artist who uses the language of geometry. He paints cycles of statistical paintings inspired by statistical data, statistical charts and diagrams or other patterns of statistical messages reporting on the social behavior of Poles. The starting point for Wieslaw Luczaj's work is the assumption that contemporary reality is shaped, evaluated and cataloged by statistics. Statistical data, according to this concept, dominates social reality as media information and graphic visualizations that update society's knowledge almost daily, influencing its shape and understanding of reality. The artist was born in 1960. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He completed his diploma with honors under Roman Artymowski in 1985. From 1986 to the present he has been affiliated with the Studio of Knowledge of Actions and Visual Structures at the Faculty of Painting led by Jacek Dyrzynski. Titular Professor. Since 2001 he has also worked at the Institute of Fine Arts at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, of which he has twice been director.
