Tadeusz Waśkowski, brother of Antoni—a writer and painter—and cousin of Stanisław Wyspiański, came from a family with artistic traditions. From 1905 to 1911, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Józef Mehoffer. During his studies, he received awards for his nudes and portraits. In 1931, his solo exhibition took place at the Palace of Art in Kraków, hosted by the Society of Friends of the Fine Arts. He created genre scenes as well as series of portraits of figures from the arts.
