Painter and sculptor. From 1939 he was associated with Poznan, where he spent the years of World War II. From 1950 to 1955 he studied sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (now the University of Arts) in Poznan. He is the author of many Poznan monuments, including sculptures at the Citadel in Poznan (1963-1967), the monument to Stanislaw Staszic (1967), the monument to the insurgents of Greater Poland (1968), and the monument to Karol Swierczewski (1975). In addition to sculpture, he was also involved in applied graphics, posters, etc. Since the 1960s, an important field of his work was painting, which he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Marseille thanks to a scholarship from the French government. He made artistic trips to France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Yugoslavia. He exhibited individually and in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. He was associated with the Realist Group. In his landscapes he often took up ecological themes and those related to the problems of modern civilization.
