Studied painting and textile at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1972-1977. In 1988, he participated in the exhibition "To Each Time His Art"(Arsenal II). In 1984, 1987 and 1999 he received a creative scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art. He has so far presented his work at 28 individual and group exhibitions, including in Berlin, Lublin, Sweden, Denmark and England. "The paintings of Ryszard Pasikowski only seemingly create an abstract world closed by the surface of the canvas. The impression created by his recent paintings, whose intense colors strongly affect our sense of sight, makes us initially perceive only purely sensualistic elements. This first impression, however, quickly passes, and we can't stop there. For we are dealing with canvases with a very well-thought-out construction based on the spontaneity of the painterly gesture, which, through their very simple, natural proposal, induce an emotional, sensual experience of this art."
