Oil on canvas, signed on the underside "Rajmund 84". Dimensions 44x80 cm.
Rajmund Giersz (Minsk Mazowiecki 1937 - 2010) studied under professors Artymowski, Kot, Magner. He practiced drawing and easel painting, inspired by the transience of the moment, the fascination of beauty, the joy of being and the charm of a girl. With the help of symbolic human figures, which he used in his distinctive paintings to express infatuations, fears, obsessions and associations, he translated this into achievements in art. The artist focused on depicting scenes of everyday life and the joy that accompanied it. On his canvases one can also find the atmosphere of the 1930s, in a moodily shown café or a subtle game between a man and a woman. Giersz's paintings open up new and different ways of perceiving our lives. The achievements of this artist leave a mark in us, change us, give rise to currents that did not exist in us until now. The artist's works are in state and private collections at home and abroad. Rajmund Giersz practiced easel painting, drawing.
