Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Faculty of Painting, where in 2013 he defended his diploma in the studio of Prof. Leszek Misiak and completed an annex in drawing in the studio of Prof. Teresa Kotkowska - Rzepecka. Winner of the Creative and Artistic Scholarship of the President of the City of Częstochowa (in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012); creative scholarship of the Grazzella Foundation (2012); scholarship of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts for the Best Students (2011, 2012); scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2012); creative scholarship of the City of Cracow (2015). Winner of many awards and prizes, including: 2nd Prize of the Director of the Municipal Art Gallery in the 2nd International Art Competition "Contemporary Landscape", Częstochowa, 2015; submitted to Polityka's Passports 2014; Honorable Mention in the 5th. National Contest for Young Painters "Expressiveness of Things," Triennale of Painting, Częstochowa 2014; Grand Prix of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage at the 3rd Triennale of Polish Contemporary Painting "Autumn Confrontations," Rzeszów 2013; Award of the President of the City of Legnica during the 23. All-Poland Young Painting Review "Promotions 2013", Art Gallery in Legnica, 2013; nomination to the Art Prize of the University of Arts in Poznań "New Image / New Look", BWA Gorzów Wielkopolski, 2013; honorable mention at the national exhibition "Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts 2013," Gdańsk, 2013; Grand Prix of the XI International Autumn Art Salon "Homo Quadratus Ostroviensis," BWA Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, 2012; Main prize of the Biennale of Youth - beautiful arts in the field of painting, MDK in Radomsko, 2012. Pawel Slota is the author of more than a dozen solo exhibitions in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Czestochowa, Zamosc, Sanok) and Europe (Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany). He has also participated in more than a hundred group exhibitions at home and abroad (USA, Greece, Switzerland, France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania).
