Mirosław Kociński

Graduated from the Department of Ceramics and Glass at the National Academy of Fine Arts (currently the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts) in Wroclaw, 1985. Since 1988 employed at his alma mater, exceptionally at the Department of Painting and Sculpture, since 1996 at the Department of Ceramics and Glass. Deputy dean of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, 2002 - 2005; dean of the faculty 2008 - 2012. In 2014 he was awarded the title of professor.

Numerous awards of distinction, including 1st prize at the 3rd International Ceramics Biennial, Zarautz, Spain, 1996; honorary security in the 9th Mino International Ceramics Competition (9th Mino International Ceramics Competition, Japan), Mino, Japan, 2011; honorary badge "Meritorious for Polish Culture", awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, 2012.

Participation in 16 solo exhibitions and 99 group exhibitions, in Poland and abroad: in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Morocco and Japan, including XII Biennale of Ceramics, Vallauris, France, 1991; XII Biennale Internationale de Ceamique dart, Vallauris, France, 1990; 49 Concorso internazionale della Ceramica dArte", Faenza, Italy, 1996; III Biennale of Ceramics Zarautz, Spain, 1996; Tercer Concurso Internacional de Ceramica Artistica de Zarautz "Homenaje a Lizardi". "4th International Ceramics Biennale of Cairo," Cairo, Egypt, 1998; "Keramik, Glas, Innenarchitektur, Design," Braunschweig, Germany, 2009; 9th International Ceramics Festival11 Mino, Japan, 2011; "Paradoxes," BWA Wroclaw-Galerie of Contemporary Art, Gallery of Glass and Ceramics, 2011.

Works in private, public and museum collections, including: National Museum in Wroclaw, Museum of Ceramics in Boleslawiec, Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu, Japan.
