Literature
"Art is living matter, it is always created here and now. It arises from interpersonal relations, from external stimuli, internal impulses. Art is an ever-pulsating, budding cultural tissue that does not wait, but happens.
I met Ms. Hanna Suchocka somewhere on the paths of life about a year ago, we ate, sitting next to each other soups with very, very, very small spoons, a task that turned out to be not easy and time-consuming. It is a rare and rather surreal coincidence to meet Poland's first Prime Minister under such circumstances. Until now, she has always been that handsome woman from television, always surrounded by only men, whom I watched in awe as an eight-year-old girl, not understanding at all what I was really looking at. Now she has materialized as an uncommonly bright, strong, witty and clear character. There are some people with whom interacting just after a while motivates one to paint a picture, even after eating soup with them.
I recently asked Ms. Suchocka for some leftover pieces of her nail polish, which she sent me in the mail. From these leftovers this painting 'Common Good' was created. The title refers to Mrs. Hanna Suchocka's words, which she used in the context of building a post-transition society. This process is still ongoing."
