oil on canvas, framed: 100 cm x 100 cm
All the destructive storms and tempests glided together in a swale,
The deluge rolled over the capitals with them.
After seven days and nights,
after the flood that swept through the land of Sumer
and an evil whirlwind rocked the ark on the great water,
Sun God Utu appeared spreading light to the sky and the earth.
Ziusudra pierced a hole in the wall of the ark
and let Utu's rays shine inside it.
Then King Ziusudra fell on his face before Utu
The king slaughtered numerous oxen and many sheep as a thanksgiving offering
