Kornel Leśniak (born 1999 in Cracow, Poland) is a graduate of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland. In his practice, he combines oil painting, the written word and embroidery, searching for a language for emotional spaces of intimacy and empathy.
His works focus on queer experience, corporeality, love and the need to belong. He explores the tensions between solitude and care, private experience and collective memory, creating intimate narratives of fragility and identity.
