Jacek Szynkarczuk is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He deals with easel painting. He lives and works in Radziszów near Cracow. He says this about his painting: As for Magical Realism, or Fantastic Realism, as if you don't call it, it is a direction that combines elements of realism and fantasy. It also has a lot in common with the earlier trend - Surrealism. The fact that I create paintings that are identified with these currents did not result from a decision or some conscious choice of my path. Over the years, this path has formed itself, through various experiences with painting and more or less successful attempts. The search for means of expression, technique, emotions, led me to where I am now....
