Henryk F. Starzynski (1901-1981). Grandson of a January insurgent, exiled to Siberia. In 1932 he obtained permission to go to Poland. He settled in Cracow. Here he graduated from the State School of Art Industry and began a permanent cooperation with Robert Jahoda's Bookbinding Company in the field of graphic design and artistic book binding. He designed posters, ex-librises, and was involved in typography and lettering. He obtained the rank of associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts' Faculty of Graphic Arts. He practiced mural painting, but primarily painted watercolors. He was the initiator and president of the Watercolorists Club at the Cracow district of ZPAP.
