Biography
Painter, draftsman, printmaker. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, receiving his diploma in 1974. He is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. His painting is inherently metaphorical. He paints people with distorted proportions against the backdrop of an unreal landscape. The characteristic figures in the artist’s paintings are lyrical, lost, and shy individuals, full of sadness and a peculiar sense of humor. His work is exhibited in numerous museums, including the National Museum in Kraków, the National Museum in Szczecin, the Regional Museum in Zamość, and abroad at the Peace Museum in Tokyo and the Municipal Museum in Ghent.
